Slippers ...

Slippers ...

Being brought up in Czech Republic where winter temperatures drop below zero, I am used to wearing slippers as we had cold tiled floors. Not having slippers on was a no-no!

Honestly, I wear slippers all year round for hygiene reasons.

After switching to barefoot shoes, I was looking for better options for home shoes or slippers. To find a good pair of barefoot slippers is easier than you think.
Just remember that you are looking for:
• wide toe box,
• flexible,
• lightweight slippers
• with zero drop and
• no arch support.

Easy, right? 😊

Tried on and recommended: These are options that I have personally tried and can recommend:

- for ADULTS:

Ahinsa Barefoot Slip-on Sandals
These are probably my new favorite. Although flip-flops and therefore not secured to your heel, they have two buckle straps that come quite heigh on your instep to provide as much security as possible. They remind me of Birkenstock that I used to wear. They also look very stylish once you get used to the wide toe area 😉
Also come in Brown.

Xero Shoes Pagosa
Faux felt vegan slippers with collapsible heel that you can wear either as normal shoes covering your heel or as slides. That’s practical. They are light, flexible and with Xero favorite grip on the bottom of the sole.

Leguano Acasa
60% wool felt makes these slippers very soft and warm. I like Leguano Lifolit sole. It highly flexible and soft. If you haven’t tried, you wouldn’t believe 😉

Leguano Thermo
Water repellent outside, soft inside and flexible sole makes them very comfortable, not only for inside but these are designed to be worn outside.

- for KIDS:
Affenzahn – lovely slippers, mainly for narrow to medium feet, very flexible, nice woven polyester upper.

Froddo Barefoot – felt slippers that are warm and comfortable, for medium to wide feet.

Tikki – We had 2 different types of shoes that we used as slippers.
Aranya Sandals – I wish they make them in adult version as well. They look super comfortable. Although designed as sandals, my son has them as home slippers. They are super lightweight, with Vibram sole, easy Velcro around ankle.
Ziggy wool slippers – lightweight, warm felt slippers with easy Velcro fastening around ankle, easy for kids as young as maybe 2 years old (like my daughter when she started to use her first pair). They start to shed/form lint after some time of usage that I used to shave off.

Barefoot socks with a grip
These are for true barefoot lovers out there that want to stay close to ground no matter what 😊
I recommend socks with grip to prevent any injuries on hard slippery floors. Any studio/Pilates socks with rubber dots on the bottom.
