For measing your feet, you’ll need a measuring tape or a ruler, a thick book, a pencil and paper.
- Place the paper on the floor, short side touching the wall.
- Stand with your heel against the wall.
- Place the book in front of your foot so that it’s touching your big toe or the longest toe.
- Put your full weight on your foot and draw a line along the book in front of the longest toe.
- Measure the distance between the wall and the line/book.
- Measure your other foot as well. Your feet do not have to be the same.
Don’t forget to add an additional
0.5 cm for ballerinas,
0.7 - 1 cm for sneakers,
up to 1.2 cm for outdoor shoes
to give your feet the natural space they need in shoes. In healthy shoes, the foot works naturally and dynamically.
